2015 Nissan GT-R Overview:
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is a sleek and sporty car that has a high-performance design. A handcrafted V6 engine is paired with a cutting-edge transmission system to deliver superb performance on the track. This racing-inspired Nissan model is available in flashy colors such as Blaze Metallic, Solid Red and Deep Pearl Blue.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R is a two-door sports car that has a traditional 2+2 seating configuration. With a starting price tag of approximately $110,000, the Premium trim is loaded with sophisticated mechanical installations and premium amenities. An upgrade to the NISMO model costs nearly $175,000. In fact, the GT-R NISMO is one of the most expensive cars ever made by Nissan.

Driving Experience

Featuring twin turbochargers that produce up to 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque, the 3.8 L VR38DETT engine propels the Nissan GT-R Premium. For the NISMO edition, this V6 engine has been refined to deliver a maximum of 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque. Both of these powerful engines are connected to the ATTESA E-TS All-Wheel Drive (AWD) that grips the road very well. A rear transfer case is included with this sophisticated drivetrain.

A six-speed transmission with dual clutches is standard in this Nissan sports car. The driver can select the Normal, R-Mode or Save settings according to road conditions. The Downshift Rev Matching function eliminates the hassles that come with hunting for gear ratios. Equipped with the Brembo brakes, the GT-R comes to a smooth stop on demand. The front brakes have six-piston calipers that are engineered for sudden deceleration. Supported by the Bilstein DampTronic suspension, this agile Nissan offers a comfortable ride at fast speeds.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R can be driven for up to 22 miles on the highway from a single gallon of premium unleaded gasoline. A 19.5-gallon fuel tank offers a total driving range of about 430 miles. In the city, this powerful sports car can roll for up to 16 miles from one gallon of fuel. Thanks to the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System, both of the powerful V6 engines offer impressive fuel economy. The bores in the engines are sprayed with a low-friction plasma coating that significantly improves efficiency at high tachometer readings.

The NissanConnect infotainment system in the 2017 Nissan GT-R comes with an 8-inch monitor that has a smartphone-style interface. SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link are included in the car's GPS navigation system, which responds promptly to speech commands. Music on HD Radio or SiriusXM Satellite Radio may be enjoyed on the Bose audio system that features 11 speakers including dual subwoofers. The Active Noise Cancellation technology eliminates external noise in the vehicle's compact cockpit.

With an interior design that's inspired by racing cars, the 2017 Nissan GT-R includes ergonomic front seats that are wrapped in leather with synthetic suede inserts. Side bolsters and high headrests provide extra support for drives that require sharp turns and fast acceleration. Shiny aluminum decorates the accelerator and gas pedals. Dark carbon fiber also adds some modern style to the vehicle's sporty cabin.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Nissan GT-R

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Nissan GT-R invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Nissan GT-R MSRP, invoice and dealer cost dollar figures above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
