The WRX’s Exterior Styling
The all-new 2022 Subaru WRX looks a bit different from its predecessor. Longtime Subaru fans will quickly notice its thinner LED headlights and wider stance. Plastic fenders further differentiate the new model. Luckily, this car still comes equipped with a functional hood scoop. Quad exhaust finishers give the rear fascia a racy touch.

The federal government gives the manual-equipped WRX a fuel economy rating of 19 mpg town/26 mpg freeway. Models mated to an automatic CVT have a rating of 19 mpg town/25 mpg freeway. Premium gasoline is required for peak horsepower and torque.
Quality and Comfort
The WRX has a simple interior design. While Subaru furnishes the cabin with quality materials, wind and road noise are present at higher speeds. Furthermore, some drivers will prefer the car’s larger 11.6-inch touchscreen over the standard dual-display setup. To make the WRX more appealing to drivers, Subaru adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and racy pedals.
There is now more legroom in the WRX’s backseat, which will benefit adult-sized passengers. However, taller people may desire more headroom when sitting in the rear. Although some competitors provide more cargo space, owners will still appreciate the redesigned WRX’s larger trunk.
