2017 Toyota Corolla iM Overview:
The 2017 Toyota Corolla iM is among the newest hatchbacks to hit the market. Although it shares many similarities with the popular Corolla sedan, firmer suspension tuning gives it sportier ride. Furthermore, there are plenty of drivers who will like the hatchback’s extra cargo space. While behind the wheel, you will be surrounded by a long list of modern features. Like so many other Toyota vehicles, the Corolla iM is expected to offer bulletproof reliability.

What’s New for 2017?

Because the Scion brand has been officially discontinued, the Corolla iM now features a Toyota nameplate. To make the new model a better overall value, Toyota equipped it with a greater number of standard safety technologies.

What Styles Does It Come In?

All Corolla iM models come in the form of a five-passenger hatchback. A front-wheel-drive system comes standard as well. Under the hood sits a proven four-cylinder engine, which develops 137 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. While a six-speed manual gearbox comes standard, you can opt for a CVT automatic transmission. Buyers may choose from a total of six paint colors, including Electric Storm Blue and Spring Green.

What are the Available Trims?

  • There is only one trim available for the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM. This means that you will be rewarded with a lot of standard equipment. A set of 17-inch sport wheels enhance the hatchback’s sleek styling. Some of the standard tech includes a backup camera, an Entune infotainment system, and Bluetooth. If you plan to do a great deal of traveling, the optional navigation system will come in handy.
  • The new Corolla iM comes loaded with more safety innovations than most of its competitors. If a potential crash is detected, automatic braking technology can bring the car to stop. You will also benefit from lane-departure alert.

Driving Impressions

With a 0-60 time of around 9.1 seconds, the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM is certainly not one of the quickest cars in its class. However, the six-speed manual transmission enables you to extract the most performance out of its four-cylinder engine. Sharp handling gives the Coralla iM an additional degree of driving excitement. Most importantly, even tall drivers will find the Corolla iM to be quite comfortable.

Fuel Economy

When equipped with an automatic transmission, expect the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM to return 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The manual version is only slightly less efficient. Regular unleaded gasoline is the recommended fuel.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Toyota Corolla iM

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Toyota Corolla iM invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Toyota Corolla iM MSRP, invoice and dealer cost dollar figures above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
