2016 Subaru WRX Overview:

About the 2016 Subaru WRX
The 2016 Subaru WRX is a compact car that's available in five trims. The base trim, WRX Premium and WRX Limited are powered by a 2.0 L turbocharged engine that generates 268 hp. The WRX STI and WRX STI Limited run on a 2.5 L turbocharged engine that delivers 305 hp. Both engines are paired with a fully-synchronized six-speed manual transmission. The WRX Limited and Premium have a Sport Lineartronic transmission.

Symmetrical All Wheel Drive is an impressive feature in the 2016 Subaru WRX. Such an advanced drivetrain is rarely found in compact sedans. Vehicle Dynamics Control and Traction Control System significantly improve the handling of this sporty Subaru. Active Torque Vectoring is another standard capability that provides some boosts for the chassis, which rests on a sport-tuned four-wheel independent suspension system.

Subaru Intelligent Drive is one of the mechanical highlights in the Subaru WRX. This technology essentially offers three driving modes according to real-time road conditions. The Driver Controlled Center Differential also optimizes several parameters in order to balance the WRX on slippery or rough surfaces. This system is specifically engineered to stabilize the Symmetrical All Wheel Drive even in challenging conditions.

Featuring a seven-inch touchscreen, the signature STARLINK system is the high-tech centerpiece in the 2016 Subaru WRX. This multimedia hub comes with voice-activated GPS navigation and SiriusXM Traffic. STARLINK technology also facilitates the syncing of compatible smartphones and mobile devices. With nine speakers, the Harmon Kardon delivers superior sound quality for playback of SiriusXM Satellite Radio and HD Radio.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Subaru WRX

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Subaru WRX invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost (calculated above) + Taxes / Licensing Fees - Rebate / Incentive = True Cost (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Subaru WRX Prices above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
