What’s New For 2017?

Not much has changed about the 2017 Ram 3500 4WD from the previous year. There have been some exterior colors added, while others were removed, and small updates were made to the UConnect infotainment system as well as the navigation. No major updates have been made to any of the trim levels for 2017.

Extreme Heavy Hauler

Its refined interior keeps you and your passengers comfortable and provides modern amenities in technology and climate control. Under the hood, customers can choose from a 6.7L Cummins I6 diesel engine that produces a whopping 900 pound feet of torque and 385 horsepower. This engine also gives you a towing capacity of an amazing 31,210 pounds. The other engine option is the 6.4L HEMI V8, which produces less torque (429 lb-ft) but more horsepower at 410.

Trim Levels/Styles

The 2017 Ram 3500 4WD is available in multiple trim levels and bed lengths. Which one you choose will depend on how many options you need and the engine you’re choosing. (the V8 HEMI is standard, but the Cummins will cost extra).

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Ram 3500:

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Ram 3500 invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here.)

Note: All Ram 3500 Prices above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
