From convenience features all the way through safety technology – explore a full look at what makes up these enticing four trims on offer for 2022!

Compare the EcoSport S vs SE Trims. What Is the Difference?

The 2022 Ford EcoSport cuts no corners when it comes to engine power and safety. Every model is equipped with a reliable 2.0-liter Ti-VCT inline, four cylinder engine that includes Auto Start/Stop Technology for improved fuel efficiency. A SelectShift® brand 6-speed automatic transmission completes the experience while 4 wheel anti locking brakes provide extra assurance on every drive.

Ford's Intelligent 4WD system ensures optimal traction to keep you safe and in-control during even the most inclement weather conditions. The EcoSport takes this a step further with an advanced Traction Control System, providing maximum control at all times. And enjoy precise driving dynamics thanks to Ford’s Revolutionary Electronic Power Assisted Steering Technology.

The EcoSport also boasts some advanced tech when it comes to the mechanical features. This includes AdvanceTrac® and Roll-Stability Control. This further improves the already-great traction. It also increases stopping power, adds stability and makes for more responsive handling. The little EcoSport fares really well during rain, snow and even over gravel.

The EcoSport astounds with its Torque Vectoring Control that gives the driver precise control over wheel torque, resulting in a more grippy and dynamic driving experience. Additionally, several systems come together to provide an unparalleled level of stability - ensuring optimal safety while offering exhilarating thrills at every turn.

Driving has never been more efficient! With 23 miles-per gallon during city commutes, and up to 29 at highway speeds this powertrain is designed for optimal performance while utilizing minimal energy. Beyond the impressive fuel economy rate lies 166 horsepower providing enough strength to pull an additional 2,000 pounds - not bad for such a small lightweight vehicle. Acceleration capabilities are even better than expected making those roads trips just that much easier!

On the outside of the S trim, there's a set of 16-inch machined-face aluminum wheels. These come painted in a Low-Gloss Magnetic color. There's the previously mentioned swinging tailgate. The headlights are basic halogen models, though there are configurable LED daytime-running lamps. The base model also gets Ford's Easy Fuel® capless filler to reduce splash-back and to help prevent fuel theft.

The grille is surrounded by black trim and has black bars. There's also black belt-line molding. There's privacy glass all around as well as an acoustic-laminated windshield. The S trim features variable intermittent wipers and a washer up front. There's a single intermittent wiper with a washer in back.

On the inside, The S trim has power windows and locks. There are cloth-covered seats. These are 4-way manual bucket seats up front, and 60/40 seats in the back that can flip up as well as fold flat. The S trim has a basic heating system and air-conditioning. There's a number of small-item storage spaces and a total of eight cup-holders throughout the cabin.

The gauge cluster has some cool lighting in a shade that Ford calls Ice Blue. There's a message center, trip computer and compass. The outside temperature can also be displayed. There are two 12V outlets and two USB ports. The S trim gets a basic AM/FM stereo. The Ford Sync Infotainment System has a 4.2-inch LCD screen and Voice-Recognition Technology.

There's an interior cargo cover to hide whatever you're hauling from prying eyes. Ford includes four cargo tie-downs too, so that the cargo doesn't slide around. The base trim gets some driver-assist tech such as Ford's SOS Post-Crash Alert System. It also offers a remote-start system and remote keyless entry.

Ford's latest models are full of top-of-the line safety features, like dual stage airbags in the front and side mounted bags along with knee protection. For those traveling in premium comfort, additional peace of mind comes from second row seat airbag coverage as well as their Safety Canopy which provides an extra layer between you and any potential impact. And to make sure your tires stay at optimal pressure levels for a smooth ride every time, Ford includes Tire Pressure Monitor technology too!

All Ford EcoSport models include the LATCH system for tethering down child safety seats. There are head restraints and 3-point belts for every seat position. An audible warning goes off to remind passengers to buckle up, if they haven't already. There's a rear camera to assist with backing up. The S trim also gets a passive anti-theft system.

The SE trim level has the same powertrain and mechanical features as the S trim. The horsepower, torque rating and fuel-economy numbers are all the same for both trims. On the outside, the SE has 16-inch aluminum wheels, just like the S trim. This time, however, they come painted in a Shadow Silver color. This trim gets halogen, quad-beam projector headlights and the same LED daytime-running lamps as before.

With the SE trim, you'll benefit from its stylish aesthetic touches like a silver-lined front grille and black headlight bezels. Plus, take advantage of extra storage with roof rails that come standard for your convenience. With Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology included in this model along features such as parking sensors and blind spot monitoring to detect rear cross traffic—you won't miss a beat when on the road!

Moving up to the SE trim comes with an upgraded sound system. There's a more powerful stereo with seven speakers. The sound system is now compatible with SiriusXM® Radio. It's also now set up for MP3 playback. This trim level gets the SYNC 3 Infotainment System with a bigger 8-inch touchscreen and an optional navigation system.

The infotainment setup now offers a 4G WiFi hot-spot so that every passenger can get online. The SE models have heated front seats, map pockets and some extra small-item storage spaces. The basic heating and cooling systems get replaced with an Electronic Automatic Climate-Control System.

The SE has push-button start and some nicer, carpeted floor mats in front and back. Ambient-interior lighting is available as an option. One of the biggest interior upgrades is the power moon-roof with its sunshade. The gear-shift is wrapped in leather, there's an overhead console for glasses, and there's now a center floor console with an armrest. The remaining safety features are all carried over from the S trim level.

Compare the SE vs SES Trim Levels. What Is the Difference?
Drivers looking to experience an elevated level of performance can rely on the SES model of the EcoSport. Not only is it equipped with its base engine and transmission, but also comes dressed with a sport-tuned suspension providing optimum handling capabilities. This means you'll be able to tackle even those curvy roads without feeling any discomfort!

The SES trim brings an enhanced driving experience with 17-inch aluminum wheels in a sleek black finish and updated exterior parts for eye-catching style. Plus, the rain sensing windshield wipers ensure that your visibility on those dreary days is never compromised!

This trim level automatically gets parking sensors and Ford's BLIS system that monitors potential blind-spots. The driver's seat is now a 6-way power seat, while the front-passenger's seat has 4-way manual adjustments. There's also heating for the seats up front, as well as a heated steering wheel. The seats are now covered with Ford's ActiveX material instead of the plain cloth.

With the new steering wheel design, drivers will enjoy more convenient access to audio controls through a luxe chrome insert and stylish leather stitching. Remaining true to its commitment of superior safety, this model maintains its exclusive driver-assist technology for an unprecedented driving experience.

Compare the SES vs Titanium Trims. What Is the Difference?
The 2022 Ford EcoSport elevates its styling with the new Titanium model. While no changes were made to powertrain and engine performance, buyers should note that a sport-tuned suspension has been removed from this particular trim level. To make up for it, sleek chrome accents have been applied to both the exterior grille and additional trimmings giving off an impressively posh look sure to turn some heads on any road or highway!

Moving up to this trim level comes with a perimeter alarm to keep the vehicle more secure. The steering wheel has a leather cover and a heating feature. Most of the convenience features of the SES trim get carried over here for the Titanium model. The infotainment system has compatibility with Apple CarPlay. A remote-start system is available as an option.

One of the biggest additions for the Titanium trim is the upgraded sound system. The Titanium has a B&O Audio System with 10 speakers. The speakers are strategically placed for an incredible, surround-sound experience. The stereo boasts plenty of volume thanks to its 660-watts of power. It also offers HD Radio™ Technology and a subwoofer for deep, rich bass sounds.

A number of packages can be added on to the Titanium trim level. There's a Cargo Management Package with a cargo net and an organizer. The optional Interior Protection Package adds on floor liners and a cargo mat. Basically, the Titanium takes all of the perks of the SES and then adds to or improves upon them.

Final Thoughts

One thing to note about the 2022 Ford EcoSport trim levels is that they're never too far apart in price. It's almost like Ford is just dangling the next trim level in front of the buyer, saying "for a little bit more, you can get all of these extras!" For those on a budget, the SE trim will be a fine choice. It has some serious upgrades over the base model, and the price difference is negligible.

When it comes to selecting a model, buyers receive maximum value by opting for the flagship Titanium trim. A minimal additional cost grants access to an array of high-end features and amenities that are unavailable on any other option - making it the obvious choice for savvy shoppers!
