How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Jeep Wagoneer

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Jeep Wagoneer invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Jeep Wagoneer Overview:

With the 2022 Wagoneer, Jeep took a big leap forward. It brought back the iconic Wagoneer as an upscale, three-row SUV with plenty of style, capability, and technology. The new Wagoneer has an adventurous spirit, just like the original one did, and it should be ready for any challenge.

Performance and Capability

This SUV has been designed with the trails in mind. While it may look like a sophisticated vehicle, and in many ways it is, the Wagoneer is suited for rugged terrain.

Powering the Jeep is a 5.7-liter V8 engine. It can deliver 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, both of which are very impressive numbers. It gets a little boost from eTorque, which is a mild hybrid system. The power that the Wagoneer has can give people confidence as they deal with different situations.

Maximum towing capacity is 10,000 pounds. This is far more weight than what many other SUVs can haul, and it's even more than the towing capacity of some pickup trucks. To make it easier to hook up trailers, there's an available Trailer Hitch Zoom feature as part of the rear back-up camera. There's an available integrated trailer brake control for safety, and there's a Quadra-Lift air suspension that can smooth things out when the vehicle is weighed down with heavy loads.

There are three available 4x4 systems to choose from. Quadra-Trac I is always engaged and provides drivers with the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. They can choose from different settings, such as snow, sand/mud, and rock. Quadra-Trac II has that terrain management system as well, and it has a two-speed low transfer case. Then, there's Quadra-Drive II, which is an automatic 4x4 system.

The Wagoneer's Cabin

This SUV feels like a luxury model. It can come with heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, a power-tilt and -telescoping steering wheel, and tri-zone climate control. Everyone can stay comfortable, thanks to the advanced climate control system and the fact that leg room is so generous. In fact, the Wagoneer has best-in-class leg room in its second and third rows.

Up to eight people can fit inside the Wagoneer. When seating needs to be swapped out for cargo space, it's simple to make that adjustment. The third row can have a power-folding feature so that it can be lowered with the touch of a button. When this row has been folded down, it's flush with the cargo floor. The second row can be quickly folded down as well, and actually, each of its seats can be folded down independently.

With all the space that's found in the Wagoneer, so much gear can be transported. It has best-in-class cargo volume behind its third row. Even if the cabin is full of passengers, there would be ample space for other items.

Technology

As a brand new model, the Wagoneer feels a bit futuristic in terms of the technology that it comes with. Its infotainment system can connect wirelessly with a smartphone, so it's easy to keep in touch with others, use certain apps, or find things to listen to wheel traveling. The wireless charging pad is really convenient, too.

One of the highlights of the front console area is the 10.1-inch touchscreen. It's bright enough to read even when it's sunny outside, and it's simple to interact with. It has been equipped with Uconnect 5 technology, and it comes with integrated navigation.

Another screen can be integrated into the cabin, right in front of where the front passenger sits. This 10.25-inch interactive display gives the passenger access to the navigation system and audio controls.

Those sitting in the back aren't left out either. The Wagoneer can be set up with a pair of 10.1-inch screens that are mounted to the back of the front seats. They can have Amazon Fire TV technology, and they can work independently of each other. With this system, rear-seat passengers can be entertained for hours.

One other display has been placed behind the steering wheel. It measures 10.25 inches and shows important information regarding the vehicle. As an LCD screen, it displays data very clearly so that drivers can quickly glance down to stay informed.

Technology has been incorporated into the safety package of the Wagoneer as well. This model can be configured to have various monitors all around its body. With those monitoring systems, it can be on the lookout for potential problems. If problems are detected, drivers would be notified, and the vehicle could possibly help correct the situation.

Available safety systems that feature advanced technology include a 360-degree camera, active lane management, and adaptive cruise control. There's also an available park assist program that can be useful when parallel or perpendicular parking.

The new Jeep Wagoneer brings a lot to the market. It looks modern and sophisticated, and at the time, it has a rugged sensibility to it. With all of its interior space, it should appeal to many potential customers who need room for lots of passengers. It's a bonus that it can have so many high-tech elements and high-end amenities.

Note: All Jeep Wagoneer MSRP, invoice and dealer cost dollar figures above are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
