Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:
- Example: Base Nissan Kicks invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)
The Nissan Kicks is what one would call an "extra small" SUV. Despite that, it can be quite practical and versatile. It is extremely affordable compared to competitors, and it has the added bonus of being fuel-efficient. The 2022 Nissan Kicks makes no major changes from the previous year, but it is still worth learning about.
All models of the 2022 Nissan Kicks are powered by a four-cylinder engine. It creates only 122-horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. While this is far from exciting, it does a decent job when driving the Kicks around town. Drivers may wish for a bit more power when trying to pass on the highway, however. All models are front-wheel-drive and come with a continuously variable transmission.
Since there is only one setup available for the 2022 Kicks, there is only one set of fuel estimates. This SUV gets 31mpg in the city and 36mpg on the highway. These are fantastic numbers, even when being compared to other subcompact SUVs.
Buyers should be impressed by the number of safety features found equipped on the 2022 Kicks. This SUV comes standard with a forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning. Forward and reverse automatic emergency braking are both included, along with blind-spot monitoring and automatic high beams.
The SV and SR trim levels of the 2022 Kicks add a driver drowsiness monitoring feature and adaptive cruise control. Exclusive to the top SR model is a surround-view camera that makes parking this tiny vehicle even easier.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has given the 2022 Kicks an overall score of four out of five stars. This is broken down into four stars for frontal and rollover crash testing, along with five stars for side crash testing. While the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not yet tested the 2022 model, the 2021 Kicks got the top score of "Good" in all six categories.
For the base S model, the Kicks has a 7-inch touchscreen. Both the higher trim levels have an 8-inch one instead. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and three USB ports are all standard features as well. Satellite radio becomes standard on the SV trim level. The SR trim offers a features package that will add a Wi-Fi hotspot and some remote monitoring features.
When it comes to cargo, shoppers should be aware that the backseat of the Kicks does not fold flat. That said, there is a good deal of room to work with. Drivers will find 25.3 cubic feet behind the second row, and 53.1 cubic feet total behind the first row. Once again, the Kicks beats the other subcompact SUVs on the market.
Passenger space is respectable. while there is technically room for up to five, only four adults can really sit comfortably. The Kicks may work for a family with three small children. There is a nice amount of leg and headroom up front, and the raised positioning of the front row gives the driver a commanding view of the road.
Considering the price point, buyers should be willing to accept the number of plastics found in the cabin. Still, there are quite a few soft-touch surfaces and other upscale accents. The entry-level model is equipped with cloth upholstery and standard air conditioning. Going up to the SV will mean getting automatic climate control and keyless entry with remote ignition. The SR has sport front seats along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
The Kicks has a unique look that stands out from all the other SUVs on the road. If buyers are looking really closely, they will see that the 2022 model has an updated Nissan logo on the front grille. This is the only change from the 2021 model. The entry-level S model rides around on 15-inch steel wheels. They do not get any bigger for the remaining models, but they do get upgraded to alloy instead.
No one will confuse the Kicks with a sporty vehicle, but it will satisfy most drivers on their daily commutes. The small size of the vehicle means that it is easy to park and corner on tight city streets. While the suspension does an excellent job of soaking up the bumps, the steering could be improved to offer more feedback.
The 2022 Nissan Kicks is a good solution for someone who wants a brand-new vehicle on a budget. Buyers should experience its versatility and value today by taking one for a test drive.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
